1968 MERCEDES-BENZ 280SL - SOLD

280SL in bright red with black interior. SOLD.

The 280SL is the pinnacle of the Mercedes-Benz 230, 250, 280SL series. It is the most desirable model due to its larger 2.8-liter, six cylinder engine and the minor updates that corrected earlier niggles. This example is a good looking, shiny red car Mercedes with the desirable 4-speed manual gearbox. It has both body-color hardtop and black folding soft top. Some of the trim and weather stripping is aged and could use replacing, particularly on the hard top. There is a small tear in the passenger side seat. Otherwise the interior is very clean and well cared-for. The exterior paint has a few blemishes but nothing that needs immediate attention.

This 280SL is an attractive, classic luxury sports car that is modern enough to keep pace with today's traffic. It is a good value at the asking price and leaves room for any improvements the new owner may want to make.
